Yes it’s another toilet-related post but when we stumbled upon the Toilet Lid Sink ($99) we knew it had to be shared. It’s definitely one of the stranger products we’ve come across in a while.
Found on Gaiam.com, this toliet add-on is made to provide a way to reuse the water that is used to wash your hands. First let’s answer a few questions on everyone’s mind. Yes the water is clean and no it does not come from the tank or bowl of the toilet. The water is pulled directly from the water supply line so it is the same as if came out of any other faucet in your household.
The key to this product is the water used to rinse your hands gets drained back into the toilet bowl to refill it. Effectively you are using the same water for two purposes.
We’re not sure if it is the most aesthetically pleasing product we’ve seen but we can definitely see the benefits. If you have a small 1/4 bath, this might be a nice solution to provide a way of rinsing your hands.
